What time does the dance start?
The dance starts officially at 7:30pm.
If you are decorating your table, you can arrive from 7pm to set up.
We're decorating our table, can we arrive early to do that?
Yes! If you are decorating your table, you can arrive from 7pm to set up. NB no candles please due to the risk of fire.
The band will be tuning up and testing their equipment so please excuse the noise!
Do I need to bring cash?
There is a cash only ale honesty bar and a raffle with fantastic prizes to be won so don't forget to bring plenty of cash for that.
Will food and drink be available to buy?
The Flower Show Dance is "bring your own" - tables and chairs will be provided, along with a bin liner and a basic table cover.

Nothing else is provided, so please remember to bring what you need including extra bin bags, cutlery, plates, cups, bottle openers and of course any food and drinks you want!
Do I have to take everything home on the night?
Yes please. There will be a bin bag on each table for rubbish and more available.
Please don't throw postachio shells, slices of fruit from drinks, bottle caps or other rubbish on the floor.
Our team of volunteers really do have to go round picking them all up by hand the next morning (and they have seen the table plan so will know who you are 😆)
Can I park at the Flower Show Dance?
Yes, you can park on the cricket field. If we have a lot of rain, parking on the cricket grounds may be restricted. This will be assessed and a decision taken on the day itself, so please keep a watchful eye out for an email. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible.
If you're planning on leaving your car, please be aware the gate will be locked overnight until 9.30 am on SUNDAY.
Will the dance still go on if it rains?
In the case of wet weather, the Dance will always go on!
If we have a lot of rain, parking on the cricket grounds may be restricted. This will be assessed and a decision taken on the day itself, so please keep a watchful eye out for an email. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible.
Are children allowed at the dance?
There are no children at the dance - but kids love the daytime event so please do bring them along to that.
What time does the dance finish?
The band will play until 1am – if required, please book taxis in advance. Please be mindful to minimise the disturbance to those living near the Cricket Club.
Can I smoke in the marquee?
No smoking or vaping in the marquee - please use the sand buckets provided for cigarette butts.
(Otherwise our team of volunteers really do have to go round picking them all up by hand the next morning!)
What will you do with lost property?
Lost property will be collected and placed on the benches in front of the pavillion for you to come and collect the following day from 9:30am.
